Monday 3 February 2025, Terma hosted the European Commissioner for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration, Piotr Serafin, along with the Danish Minister of European Affairs, Marie Bjerre, as they participated in an event organized by Danish Industry.
The event focused on the value generated by projects from the European Defence Fund (EDF), as Piotr Serafin is responsible for preparing EU’s 2028-2034 budget. The current budget (2021-2027) allocates €11 billion to defense and security, with €8 billion for the EDF. Given today’s political landscape, defense funding may increase, making it crucial to highlight EDF projects now.
At the event, five Danish entities were asked to present their experiences in participating in collaborative defense projects. One of the projects presented was Artificial Intelligence for Defence (AI4DEF) where Terma has the project coordinator role, headed by Joan Drejer Nielsen.
The messages delivered seemed to be well received.
